How to Apply

Applicants should make a formal application for their preferred MoSMed project. Applications should be submitted to either Newcastle or Durham University via the relevant Application Portal depending on where the lead supervisor of that project is based.

If you wish to apply for multiple projects please read the guidance for each institution carefully.

If you wish to apply for more than one project based at Durham University, you should submit one application and upload a separate cover letter as part of your formal application (one cover letter for each project) clearly marked with the studentship reference code (e.g. mos24_01) and the full title for the project that you are applying for.

If you wish to apply for more than one project based at Newcastle University, you will need to submit separate applications for each one, clearly stating the studentship reference code (e.g. mos24_01) and the full title for the project you are applying for.

If you are applying for projects at both institutions, you should group all your Durham submissions under one application, as explained above, but each Newcastle application should be submitted separately.

There is no application fee to apply to the MoSMed CDT.

Within the MoSMed CDT we are dedicated to building a diverse community based on excellence and commitment. To that end, in our recruitment of Doctoral Researchers, we welcome applications from outstanding candidates of all backgrounds regardless of ethnicity, disability, gender identity, or sexual orientation and will consider all applications equally based on merit.
